What's a 'Firestarter'?
A Firestarter is an all-day event focused on a deep-dive view of a particular technology. User group presentations are great, but you can certainly learn more in 8 hours than you can in 2!

The NJDOTNET User Group
NJ.NET is a user's group formed to promote the education and advancement of Microsoft .NET technologies. Whether you are a .NET developer, Java developer, VB6/FoxPro/Access developer, college student learning about programming, or just someone is who is interested in technology, then our meetings are for you!
We will have compelling presentations on current topics related to Visual Studio 2008, C#, Visual Basic.NET, ADO.NET, XML Web Services, Security, SQL Server 2000/2005, Architecture, and more.
The NJDOTNET Agile Group
Taking a cue from both the growing ALT.NET movement and quite a few members of the main NJDOTNET user group, we're now augmenting the monthly meetings of our established user group to create a more interactive, discussion-based meeting. These Open Spaces meetings will occur once a month, on the weeks following the regular User Group (the third Thursday of the month). Hopefully the addition of these meetings will allow everyone to get the benefit of a different style of interaction and learning that the “Lecture-Learn” style of the main user group cannot provide.

Want to sharpen your .NET Kung Fu? Come to our Dojo meetings and join your fellow NJDOTNET members in a hands-on, interactive environment. Share your experiences and learn from other members as they learn from you. These meetings will occur any and every Thursday that we are
not already hosting another event (the main User Group or Agile meeting). Basically, if you come to the Infragistics HQ on any given Thursday, there'll be learning going on!
